Without a doubt there is a severe shortage of courts – both indoor and outdoor – in most metro areas and a clear commercial opportunity. Will be interesting to see how the operating economics and return on investment potential, as well as the increasing NIMBY factor, all plays out

In pickleball when you take a beat and "THINK TO DINK" you are making the decision to hit the ball lightly, rather than drive it hard with the hopes of a winner. The dink is a very important part of the pickleball game. It's a way of keeping the point going UNTIL there's a real opportunity to win it. It requires finesse and touch to execute, and the self-control to NOT overhit. When you dink, you demonstrate patience, control, and court awareness. This strategy can be applied to work. Sometimes we need to just keep the ball in play and NOT be looking to disrupt the flow or showcase a winning idea. Sometimes we need to consciously make the decision to keep things moving forward without a major disruption until we see a gap or an opportunity. This doesn't mean you're not capable of great thinking (or shots). Just means you are wise and patient enough to wait for the right time and the right idea. Thoughts on this, my pickleball friends Pete Burrows Kevin Dovel Skipper Mervin, CFE, PMC-III?#pickleball #teamdevelopment #work #teambuilding

While I love playing pickleball (and pretty much any sport), I am not very good at bowling, cornhole, or bocce. For some reason, putting a weight in my dominant arm throws off my "swing" and I am not all that accurate. Because of my love of play and competition, I still participate in these games, even though I am not likely to "win". I say to myself, it's about the play and the socializing - not the victory. Do you still play games you aren't good at? Of course, I think pickleball is that place where you will always find someone to play with and you're guaranteed a good time. #pickleball #teambuilding #competition
